Formed in late 2002 but not complete and gigging until late 2003, Cut Glass Accent is best described as an Alt Rock 4 piece. In the five years they’ve been gigging the band has played shows varying in size and importance from small gigs in their local area to gigs at larger venues such as York’s Stone Roses’ Bar, Swindon’s Area 51, and Newcastle’s Carling Academy.

Their debut album sold in excess of 500 copies, and a follow up album “This Statement is False” is to be released in late 2008 early 2009 taking the band in a completely new direction.

The Long Weekend are a vibrant six-piece from the Medway area of Kent. Despite being based all the way down south we hope they’ll be making a visit to Durham in October as part of their album launch tour.

The band have had a string of great reviews lately and their latest single “Falling In” is currently NME Radio’s Record of the Week on the Drivetime show. “Breathless, tuneful stuff from Kent’s finest here…Should be huge.” Teletext Planet Sound .

My Otherside are a Durham based band who formed when four musicians; Esther Taylor, Phil Fingers, Rick Wall ad Dale Brindley; each with their own diverse background came together, combining their influences to create one unique sound.

My Otherside have been on a break over the summer, but will be back gigging in the new academic year so look out for them.

The Karoshi Bros are Sam & Dan Burt whose genetic makeup is responsible for this electro, trip-hop and hypnotically funky pop mesh of sound. They both started off in a rock outfit with Lucas (now of Maximo Park) then changed their sound direction and are now Newcastle’s very own answer to Justice.

The Karoshi Bros are currently only performing at a select few gigs whilst they work on their forthcoming album, they’ve also recently enjoyed a lot of public airplay, with Fatboy Slim playing their “Love The World” single at the O2 Festival, and Pete Tong giving it is national radio debut on Radio 1.
